The Brown Dog Tick sucks the blood of unsuspecting prey. They are notoriously long-lived, being able to survive for 3-5 months without a meal. They have been known to transmit a multitude of diseases that rarely affect humans but pose a serious danger to dogs, who are their main targets. They are 2mm to 4mm in size, dark reddish or brown in colour, wingless, and hexagonal shaped.

Leave any tick infestation to PestBusters, we’ve got you covered.
Should an infestation be found, residual spray treatment will be carried out. We will treat suspected harbourage areas and cracks & crevices, including the dog’s bedding and furniture. Bedding of babies and young children should not be treated, but washed or dry-cleaned instead.
Bedding of infested pets should be destroyed or cleaned to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and a pest-free environment.
Keep the dog away when treatment is carried out.
Please bring infested pets to a vet or groomer for de-ticking to prevent re-infestation. The number of de-ticking required would depend on the vet’s advice.
*A follow up treatment may be required after an interval of 7 days.
